About Our Restaurant

In 1986 Marla and Meir Puni purchased Grassroots Natural Market and Kitchen located in South Pasadena. In the early years, the restaurant only served sandwiches, salads, frozen yogurt and the "Famous Apple Walnut Muffins."

Twenty two years later and through the natural process of evolution, we now have a well established Natural Eatery!

Come into the store and irresistible aromas awaken your senses. Our cooks came to us over two decades ago and their natural abilities for preparing food transformed our Kitchen into what it is today.

Each day we offer a large selection of foods including burritos, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps and two hot entrees, one chicken and one vegetarian. We strive to use the highest quality ingredients. Whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables and a variety of organics are some of the basics you will get at Grassroots.

Visit our ever popular Juice Bar and you can "Create Your Own Combo" from an assortment of delicious organic vegetables and fruits. You'll also discover Smoothies, Shakes, freshly squeezed Lemonade and of course, organic Wheat Grass.

New to Grassroots is our refrigerated "Grab and Go" section. Each day you will find freshly prepared foods from our kitchen including specialty items not found in our restaurant.
